The Pocketstudio 5 is an MP3 based multitracker. Using CompactFlash media in place of tape or hard disk, the palm sized unit incorporates a 4-track recorder, mixer, MIDI arranger and sound module, over a 100 internal effects and a USB port to download song files onto a Mac™ or PC.

Digital recording and editing capabilities include auto punch in/out, copy/paste editing of audio and MIDI tracks using bars-and-beats, and track bouncing. Sequence playback is in Standard MIDI file format. Final mixes can be executed internally as MP3 files and the USB interface enables transfer of files, or 'mixing-down', onto both Windows and Mac computers; these can then be distributed on line or uploaded onto websites.
