North entrance to the British Museum, London (6397)
Waiting
Wednesday afternoon at the British Museum. I've arranged with
some students from the Holy Cross Centre to meet at the British
Museum, but no one's turned up. I write some notes and then wander
across to the Directory of Social Change to read up on project
funding. Nothing significant here, except this building, at 24
Stephenson Way, used to be the European Multimedia Centre in the
early 90s. It was a significant memory for me because I used to
run a multimedia SIG (Special User Group) here - an exciting time
for the integration of images, sound and text on the computer
... and the beginnings of the world wide web.
