Black Dust a.k.a. odonbd says: Very nice silhouette shot. Probably, this picture fits in more than one category. Nice warm sky, almost sepia tones.
roel1943 says: A beautiy shot It' tells you a story
castleblue says: How do we come to be alone?... Is it a place we choose, or is it a direction we take? The image here tells me it's probably "both"... Masterful work Tony
Another Tony says: Odon, thanks. This is a copy of an old Kodachrome slide, that and shooting into the light would have muted the colours.
Another Tony says: Roel, thank you .. I like the idea of a photograph being the impetus for telling a story, maybe in this case a particular type of story.
Another Tony says: Greg, thanks. Your reflective questions suggest another way of thinking about photography - a photography exploring emotions. I wonder how that would manifest itself?
Neoslv says: Beautiful contrast Tony.
Another Tony says: Neoslv, hi, thanks.
Nellie Vin says: Excelent! Another Tony says: Nellie, thank you!
stewpic says: Three people in their seperate aloneness and thoughts on a North London hill,a very private shot.A well balanced silhoette shot Tony.
•.♥* annilicious *♥.• says: cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
Another Tony says: Stewart, it's the three characters, alone and acting in different ways, that make this a memorable photograph for me. Greg, also picked up on the different ways of being alone. Being alone is good .. as long as it doesn't last too long!
Another Tony says: Annilicious, thanks for you sparkling cool ;-)
another twig says: I bet there would be some asshole on Weekly shot who would say "Alone? But there are three of them ..." www.weeklyshot.org/theme/the-end/response/88/
Another Tony says: Twig, 'alone' conjures a multitude of singular characters or objects isolated in some sort of space .. with this pic I was lucky having 3 characters who were not alone in the same space (framed), but who were alone with their own thoughts and feelings.
The End
another twig says: Obviously no personal criticism intended, only towards the weakly Shot crowd. However, we are all alone ~ quote from Ingmar Beetroot who is a very famous Swede... And it's a lovely shot but unfortunately reminds me of the passing years....
Another Tony says: WeeklyShot .. OK, the theme this week is 'Curves' ... now I wonder how to add a little christmas spirit to these curves?
Time lingers, memories fade, and the days are getting longer .. yippee!
another twig says: Can I do Bridget Riley? Pleaze...
Another Tony says: Bridget Riley spiralling through Xmas would be a scene to behold.
