I check out the pictures on Weekly Shot each week and sometimes get inspired to make a pic for the week. This week the theme is Lines.

Like the detail...

Another Tony says: Hi twig, these days the covers are plastic and the lines are dead straight ... a bit of sharpening in iPhoto helped with the detail.

Black Dust a.k.a. odonbd says: Nice picture, soft transistion of colors from one side to the other. The themes on that link are always a single word: Rain, Rust, Lines... Classics, however.

Another Tony says: Odon, thanks, I think I managed to get some rust in here as well, now if only it had rained .. or I could learn to carry a bottle of water around with me for elaborating on these photographic opportunities! Check out the other Weekly Shot Themes

Black Dust a.k.a. odonbd says: 'In the Midnight Hour' is nice, I was expecting more for 'Seven Deadly Sins'. But it seems that all classic themes are there. Isn't too difficult to follow or find a picture that fits on it. Ah, yes. One picture of you was selected on Water. I remember that from the last year.

Another Tony says: Hi Odon, I wrote an email to twig, part of it was about some thoughts I had on Weekly Shot, I'll copy the bit I wrote (hope you don't mind twig) -
I think having this Weekly Shot theme idea to possibly make something of each week is a good idea; it encourages a sense of involvement through participating in a centred activity and other people are doing/trying to also make something that week as well; you can get some inspiration from others and the inspiration can motivate you to try something yourself; you sometimes get feedback on your images; and if you miss the deadline then a new theme comes up the next week.
All positive aspects of learning! ... and we need to learn to feel alive!
- maybe if I'd sat down for longer the writing/meaning could have been improved, but I hope you get the gist of this .. and therefore my enthusiasm for this particular involved activity.
